On the 6/05 to 8/05, 13/05 to 15/05, 20/05 to 22/05 and 27/05 to 29/05 the White River Irrigation Board will be doing maintenance on the canal , the White River town will be receiving water from Nelspruit so the community of White River is requested to use water sparingly during the above mentioned dates in order to avoid shortage of water

The 2013 Uplands Festival will again incorporate live theatre, a country market, children's entertainment, a food & drink marquee with live music and a jazz festival. Following the growing success each year of the festival, this year promises to be better again.
Sponsors and organisers have pulled out all the stops to entertain the lowveld in style. The usual favourites such as Ian von Memerty and Sonia Esgueira with her new Porra show will be back in the theatre, and the beer marquee will be kept lively with Jazz music from Mozambique
Uplands Festival (White River)
To all road users travelling the R40 through the Riverside Park precinct between Nelspruit and White River.The Mbombela Local Municipality has appointed a contractor to upgrade the R40 road from the R37 intersection up to the Nelsriverbridge. Construction will commence at the southern end (R37) and will proceed in sections towards the Nelsriverbridge.
