FIFA 2010 Ambassadors visit schools in Mbombela

Two of South Africa’s 2010 ambassadors Mark “The FEESH Fish” and Philemon  “waltzing Masinga” Masinga recently visited schools in the Mbombela Local Municipalities to coach and inspire local soccer teams.

Masinga and Fish met with the learners and team of the East High Private School, in Nelspruit where they coached the boys on the tricks of the sport. The two ambassadors who were part of the 1996 dream team that won the African Cup of Nations under the leadership of Clive Barker, were in Mbombela Municipality as part of the campaign to involve the Mbombela public in the excitement and involvement around the soccer tournament.

They also visited the site of the stadium construction at Matsafeni where they again held motivational talks with the workers and learners from the two local schools. The two, who were invited to Mbombela by the municipality 2010 coordinator Mr Differ Mogale also paid a courtesy visit to the office of Mbombela Executive Mayor Cllr. Lassy Chiwayo.
