Ambassadors visit schools in Mbombela
Two of South Africa’s 2010 ambassadors Mark “The FEESH Fish” and
Philemon “waltzing Masinga” Masinga recently visited schools in the
Mbombela Local Municipalities to coach and inspire local soccer
teams.
Masinga and Fish met with the learners and team of the East High Private
School, in Nelspruit where they coached the boys on the tricks of
the sport. The two ambassadors who were part of the 1996 dream team
that won the African Cup of Nations under the leadership of Clive
Barker, were in Mbombela Municipality as part of the campaign to
involve the Mbombela public in the excitement and involvement around
the soccer tournament.
They also visited the site of the stadium construction at Matsafeni
where they again held motivational talks with the workers and
learners from the two local schools. The two, who were invited to
Mbombela by the municipality 2010 coordinator Mr Differ Mogale also
paid a courtesy visit to the office of Mbombela Executive Mayor Cllr.
